Mountain Rock Photo Competition
We're looking for great shots of Britain's best mountain routes to feature in a future guidebook to mountaineering rock climbs of Great Britain. The rules couldn't be simpler - take some photos, then email your favourites to us at email@example.com . This autumn we'll pick a selection of the best photos for publication in the guide, and the winners will receive a free copy of the book when it's published.
There are no hard and fast rules, but please bear in mind that you win if your guidebook is chosen for inclusion in the guidebook... this is more likely if it is at least A5 at 300dpi and portrait format. Smaller images, or landscape shots may be selected, but it's less likely (unless they're large enough to be cropped or used on a double page spread).
Your photo is more likely to win if it features a route that no-one else has photographed, so entries of more obscure routes are encouraged! Similarly, we're really looking for shots that capture some of the atmosphere of the climb, and are not just focused on the climber.
The Route List
The list of routes to be included in the guide is not yet finalised, but please see below for a list of climbs that we're considering. If you have great photos of other mountain routes, or suggestions of climbs that you'd like to see included then please feel free to let us know by email.
Please email your favourite photos to us at firstname.lastname@example.org along with the following information - Name of Photographer, Name of Route, Name of Climber (if known), and Any Other Information about the photo, move, pitch, or route.
The Small Print
Please only submit photos that you own and hold the copyright to. By submitting photos you grant us permission to use them for publication in the guidebook and any associated marketing material.
